Walking Tours

Do you want to discover Naples' most hidden secrets through the eyes of a local?  Francesco will guide you from the tourist highlights to the maze of backstreets in the Spanish Quarter.

Tours start with Piazza del Plebiscito, along the main street of Napoli, via Toledo taking in the spectacular Galleria Umberto, where you'll stop off for one of Pasticceria Mary's famous Sfogliatelle or Babà.  From here you'll head down to the seaside to admire the beautiful Castel dell'Ovo with the imposing Vesuvius behind, the coastline of Sorrento and the island of Capri accross the Bay.

Next stop is the Spanish Quarter, one of the more authentic areas of Napoli where the mopeds speed up and down the densly packed alleyways.  The obligatory stop at 'da Cammarota' will give you a true sample not only of some of Naples' best local wines, but also an insight into Neapolitans' taste for street life.

A short stroll away from here and we find the market area of Montesanto and the via Pignasecca, where vendors sell everything from socks to the freshest squid, and always the finest examples of fresh local produce that Naples has to offer.  Try out some Mozzarella di Bufala or the fried streetfood from Fiorenzano.

The walking tour is happening three times a week, starting at 15:00pm at the Hostel of the Sun reception.  Contact us for details and to get your name on the list!
