Hostel of the Sun is an ideal place to stay while visiting beautiful Napoli. We are walking distance from the Historical Center, Castel Nuovo, Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Plebiscito, and the fabulous shopping on Via Toledo- to name a few. Two of Naples most historic and loved Pizzerias, (Gino Sorbillo and Di Matteo), are a ten minute walk from our doorstep.
Hostel of the Sun has by far the best location coming from the Airport, Train Station and Ferry Ports. If you are planning to discover the city, and make day trips to all of Naples’ surroundings this is the perfect place to be.
We love Napoli, however if you wish to venture outside of the city, we are a 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal with frequent departures to Capri and Ischia. From this same terminal there are also busses to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. Just 20 metres from our door you’ll find the Tram Number 1 that runs every 5 minutes to and from the Stazione Centrale.
The ALIBUS shuttle bus from the Naples Airport (Capodichino) is just 200 metres from the hostel, where buses depart every 20 minutes. The journey takes just 25 minutes and costs 3 euros.

Directions
From the Train Station By Tram :
Exit the station and cross the square in front (Piazza Garibaldi) until you will reach the tram line (it’s the only one in the Piazza). Take the Tram Number 1, in the direction ‘Colombo’, which is to the left when you are have your back train station. You get off at the LAST stop and the hostel is on the road between the Agip and Esso petrol stations on your right hand side, ‘Via Melisurgo’. We are number 15 on the right.
REMEMBER: You need to buy the ticket (1,20 euro) BEFORE you get on the tram, and then stamp it when you get on. You can get the tickets at any newsstand or tabacchi shop.
Walking From The Train Station:
Your journey should take about 25 min. Please refer to the map following the PURPLE line and walk to the city center on ‘Corso Umberto’ (sometimes also called Rettifilo) At end of Corso Umberto starts Via Depretis, walk until you are approx. 100 meters from Castel Nuovo and the last street on the left is via G. Melisurgo (newspaper stand at the corner) We are at number 15 on the left.
From Naples Airport:
Outside the arrival terminal there is a shuttle bus called ‘ALIBUS’ that runs to the main square, you should get off at ‘Piazza Municipio “, next to the main port Molo Beverello, the last stop, and follow the map. It’s about 2 minutes on foot.

By Taxi:
From the Central Station a taxi costs 11 euros, from the Airport 19 euros. Always ask for the Tariffa Fissa (the fixed fare)
