Hostel of the Sun is an ideal place to stay while visiting beautiful Napoli. We are walking distance from the Historical Center, Castel Nuovo, Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Plebiscito, and the fabulous shopping on Via Toledo- to name a few. Two of Naples most historic and loved Pizzerias, (Sorbillo and Di Matteo), are a ten minute walk from our doorstep.
We love our Napoli, however if you wish to venture outside of the city, we are a 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal with frequent departures to Capri and Ischia. From this same terminal there are also busses to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. Two minutes from our door you’ll find the R2 bus to the Stazione Centrale. Here you can hop on the Circumvesuviana and see the famous Mt. Vesuvius, as well as other stops at Pompeii, Ercolano and the picturesque city of Sorrento.

Text Directions
By Bus:
To ride a bus in Naples, you must first purchase a ticket for 1.10 at any Tabacchi Shop (you CANNOT purchase on the bus). Ask for ’un biglietto’ (one bus ticket). After entering a bus, insert your ticket in the validaton machine.
From Train Station By Bus:
Exit the train station and cross the square till you reach the Garibaldi Statue where all the local buses are located. Please take the R2 bus and get off on Via DePretis (8 bus stops from the station, right before Castel Nuovo).
After exiting the bus, cross the street, make a left and walk 20 meters (away from Castel Nuovo) and make a right on Via G. Melisurgo (it is the 1st street and has a newspaper stand). Proceed approx 100 meters, Hostel of the Sun is located on the left at number 15. If you reach Via Colombo (end of the street), you have gone too far.
Walking From The Train Station:
Your journey should take about 25 min. Please refer to the map and walk to the city center on ‘Corso Umberto.’ At end of Corso Umberto starts Via Depretis, walk until you are approx. 100 meters from Castel Nuovo and the last street on the left is via G. Melisurgo (newspaper stand at the corner) We are at number 15 on the left.
From Naples Airport:
Outside the arrival terminal there is a shuttle bus called ‘ALIBUS’ that runs to the main square, you should get off at ‘Piazza Municipio.’
We suggest to print these Google Map Directions , get off the bus and walk towards Castel Nuovo all the way down to Via Colombo near the water. Make a left onto Via Colombo, then make a left onto Via G. Melisurgo. The hostel is only a 20 meter walk and located on the right at 15.
To get into our building, please press 51 (buzzer) to ring reception, walk inside, make a left and take the elevator to the reception..
